The Village of Lumby, although small in size, has a big sense of community. Only a scenic 30-minute drive east of Vernon, Lumby is home to a variety of residents with different housing needs. The White Valley Community Park is home to the popular Lumby Days Family Festival and the Lumby Public Market. It also offers residents an outdoor pool and fitness area, playground, and spray park in the summer. Adjacent to the community park is the Pat Duke Arena used for hockey and public ice skating.

Charles Bloom Secondary School and J.W. Inglis Elementary School are the catchment schools for Lumby and Okanagan College provides post secondary education for Vernon and its surrounding areas. The Vernon Transit System services Lumby and provides accessibility to the rest of Vernon and surrounding areas.
